Happy Spring! My Birthday and New Recipes....πŸŽ‚πŸŒΊ

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to spring! Well, sort of. Here in Chicago, we have snow.

Today, Saturday (I'm writing this a few days early), it's my birthday. I have a running joke in my family. I tell everyone that it snows on my birthday and truly 90% of the time I am right. While it's sunny today there is snow on the ground from yesterday. I will also predict that it will be the last snow of the season.

I didn't send an email last week. I apologize for that. The days leading up to my normal "Monday email" I had spent at the Tastemaker Conference. It is a conference for and about food blogging.

I didn't lift my head off my pillow for at least 48 hours afterward and then I have had a list more than a mile long of things that needed to get done for my business to move it forward. The best part was networking with other bloggers. This is a lonely business so it was nice to create a network and a mastermind with other "older" bloggers.

One of the bigger changes that you will notice is that in the coming weeks, I will be sending emails when I publish a new recipe on the blog. I will still continue with this weekly recap and a peek into my life.

As for my birthday celebrations....we have been dining out every night. On Thursday we went to Oriole in Chicago. It's a fine dining, two Michelin-starred, restaurant. Friday night we were out with friends and tonight we will have dinner near our home. Our kids are all out of town so celebrating with family will have to wait.

This week Amazon had their spring sale. Did you take a look and buy anything? I am always on the hunt for kitchen finds.

A few links that I am loving this week:

This week I am sharing two recipes with you.

Creamy Dijon Chicken Breasts

These creamy, mustardy, chicken breasts are super healthy and super versatile. You can add or substitute a lot to suit your tastes!

Almond Macaroons

As promised, I have started down the path of creating and sharing some of my Passover recipes. This is my first. These cookies are chewy, crunchy, and fabulous any time of the year. They only have a couple of ingredients, totally gluten-free, and are easy to make.

Until next time, enjoy the spring weather! If it's unseasonal where you are, then bring in the sunshine, dream big, and don't forget to have fun in the kitchen!

See you next week!

Hello Reader! Happy Monday! The butterflies are out in abundance around us! This past weekend I had a chance to see Phil Rosenthal's World Tour. If you don't know Phil Rosenthal, he was the Executive Producer for "Everyone Loves Raymond" and now has a Netflix show called "Somebody Feed Phil". He has a sharp wit and what you see on the show is what you get in real life. While the whole night was spent laughing at him, and with him, my favorite line from the evening and one that resonated was:...
